A unique home of
quality and refinement
Heritage-listed Bledisloe House has been respectfully reimagined to encompass 13,000 square metres of covetable inner-city office space, communal green areas, boutique retail and hospitality. Honouring its history while forging towards its great potential, Bledisloe House is Auckland's newest home for business success.
With its raw material palette and staunch, grid-like façade, the heritage-listed Bledisloe House is a masterclass in Brutalist architecture. Designed in 1959 by Gordon Wilson with Jack Beere, the former Government services building will be artfully restored by Cheshire Architects and Peddlethorp Architects.

An extraordinary new
Auckland is emerging
15,000 square metres of prime, inner-city land lies at the doorstep of the busiest train station of our developing city. With tens of thousands of local and international visitors crossing the site daily as they stream to and from central Tāmaki Makaurau, the land holds enormous potential and significance in Auckland’s evolution.
The proposed placemaking for Bledisloe House will demonstrate a profound sense of place, uniquely tailored to incorporate mana whenua cultural values and associations. We recognise the following opportunities:
A continuation and collaboration with the current work concerning the new Auckland arts precinct and Symphony Centre.
Incorporating reference to the land's historical use, tohu, landforms and significance to mana whenua.
Using native flora in the landscaping specific to this place, its history and microclimate.
Bledisloe House is an elegant bastion of mid-century design that played a crucial role in our city's built history. Its regeneration will bestow it with a new role as a catalyst in Auckland's future.
